The country reports aim to present the results of the research on social protection programs and policies gathered from significant agencies and ministries, and to summarize quantitative information on social protection activities to enable the formulation of a national Social Protection Indicator (SPI). It also aims to provide updated information and data on social protection arrangements, legislation, and institutions and the calculated SPI for 34 countries in Asia and the Pacific using the revised SPI methodology. The reports also outline recommendations for countries in Asia and the Pacific in order to improve their current social protection programs.
